AA degree and certificate recipients of the Architectural Technology Program will be technically proficient. Assessment #1 Assessment Strategy:
Student portfolios and capstone projects will be reviewed by program faculty and determined to be acceptable or not acceptable according to program criteria. Ninety-five percent will be judged acceptable. Assessment Results:
Program faculty determined that ninety percent of student portfolios and capstone projects were determined acceptable for the academic year 2000-2001. Action:
The program faculty reviewed the criteria for the student portfolios and capstone projects and determined they were appropriate. It was determined that student performance in courses X & Y need closer scrutiny. Assessment #2 Assessment Strategy:
80% AA degree and certificate recipients will report a high level of usefulness with the skills learned in the program on the Former Student Follow Up Survey. Assessment Results:
65% of AA degree and certificate recipients completing the survey reported the usefulness of skills learned in the program as high. Action:
Follow up research will be conducted to verify the need to add CAD to beginning design classes. |
